Working on a small scale, In this class you will learn how to cut glass, add colour and pattern and fuse your creations instantly in a special microwave kiln. We will experiment with different ways of applying glass enamels to create lots of samples before choosing your favourites to make into finished jewellery. Your mini collection will be ready to take away on the day.

Silver plated fittings and chains are included in the ticket price, or if you prefer solid silver, this can be arranged on the day at extra cost. Pieces Include, earrings, necklaces, brooch/pin badges and cufflinks.

The session runs from 10.30 to 4pm (approx.) and includes an hour break for lunch, where participants can visit the craft centre cafe or make their own arrangements. Hot drinks and snacks are provided through the day.

Classes take place at Manchester Craft and Design Centre in our dedicated workshop, next to the studio shop. The sessions are very relaxed and held in small groups of up to 6 people. Suitable for anyone aged 14+ from complete beginners to those with some experience of printing or fused glass. No matter your making skills, hopefully you will enjoy learning a new process and create your own unique glass piece.

Tickets include all materials, tea, coffee and biscuits on the day and kiln firings after the workshop. Finished pieces are usually available within 2-3 weeks and can be collected from the studio or posted to you. Private group sessions of can be booked on alternative dates or if you have a minimum of three wanting to book, specific dates can be arranged.
