Layered Landscapes
Create a unique fused glass curved sculpture or panel on this hands on half day workshop. Using the transparent qualities of glass you will build up imagery to make a unique glass landscape or layered design.
Working with coloured glass enamels you will learn how to make stencils before printing your design onto sheets of glass. Helen will demonstrate different ways to mix and apply enamel to add detail and depth to your piece. Lots of Inspiration images will be provided on the day and you are welcome to bring along your own ideas and images too, you aren’t limited to a landscape either! It is always great to see everyone’s creativity come out in their piece.
After the session your sculpture will be kiln fired and shaped over several firings. They will be ready within a few weeks for collection or delivery, which can be arranged on the day of the workshop.

Classes take place at Manchester Craft and Design Centre in our dedicated workshop, next to the studio shop. The sessions are very relaxed and held in small groups of up to 6 people. Suitable for anyone aged 14+ from complete beginners to those with some experience of printing or fused glass. No matter your making skills, hopefully you will enjoy learning a new process and create your own unique glass piece.
Tickets include all materials, tea coffee and biscuits on the day and kiln firings after the workshop. Finished pieces are usually available within 2-3 weeks and can be collected from the studio or posted to you.
